big bug in Amazon's system - same ASIN assigned to completely different products
Hi, I have a huge problem today. I am adding a bunch of new products and as I always do (for 7 years already), I enter the products EAN code and SKU as identifier.
Of 18 products that I tried to add today, Amazon assigned an already used ASIN to at least 2 of the new products. These are my ASINs as well, but from products listed years ago, and of course, with different SKUs, EANs, title description etc. Just completely different products. And NO, I do not re-use EAN codes or SKUs that I used already in the past. EAN and SKU are always unique, and therefore, Amazon should never even think about assigning the same ASIN to multiple products.
I stopped for now and call it a day. I am not able to waste a weekend adding products to Amazon that potentially need to be removed again because I am expecting seller support will tell me that I can't use the same identifier for the same product - putting the blame on the seller instead of investigating the issue, as they always do (unfortunately).
Any community wisdom here that could help me? How to address this problem? How to avoid it?
Someone from Amazon reading here, who could offer some help??
Thank you
