My account was suspended because of an account I don't know.

Today, while I was continuing my sales as usual, my account was suddenly associated with an account I knew and my account was closed.

I understand your account is currently deactivated. I do need further insight, as I want to ensure I am providing the correct information here. Your account was deactivated due to an account you do or do not recognize?

Anytime personal information is shared between multiple accounts, a relationship is established. Personal information can be anything from a phone number, address, e-mail address, or financial information. It is important to note that these examples are not all-inclusive, as there are many other piece of information which can be shared.

Once accounts are related, it is difficult for Amazon to discern if the accounts are owned by separate people or businesses. At that point, under the Seller Code of Conduct and Multiple Accounts policy, it can be interpreted as one person owning and operating more than one account. Per this policy, sellers may only maintain one selling account unless there is a legitimate business need, such as having a different brand with different items than the first account. If sellers are permitted to have multiple accounts, they will have to maintain healthy, positive statuses for all accounts. If any of the accounts are not in good standing, all accounts will be deactivated until the root of the issue is addressed.

If you do recognize and own the account, you will have to reactivate the other account before your current account can be reactivated. Do you still have access to this account?

If you do not recognize the other account, I suggest thinking about the following questions so you will be able to pinpoint how the same personal information is present on multiple accounts.

  1. Do you have any friends, family members, coworkers, or employees who have a selling account?
  2. Have you ever provided someone else your account information and allowed them to log onto your account?
  3. Have you ever utilized another 3rd party to operate your selling account?

These are starting questions, as these are not all-encompassing situations. Ultimately, you will have to provide evidence that the account allegedly linked to yours was never related to the account.

If you were once related to the other account, but are no longer so, you will want to provide the explanation of how the accounts were related, when they were first related, when they were no longer related, in addition to substantiating evidence they are no longer related.

The addressing a Multiple Accounts Policy Violation video is helpful here, so I suggest you take a look when you have the time to do so.

Please continue to utilize this thread for more questions and updates on your situation. Many other sellers might have the same issue you are having and could find useful information between our discussion.

I look forward to your reply,

Stevie
