Amazon verifies against the IRS database. Sounds like you need to contact the IRS to get the exact name that they have for your EIN.

I'm having the same issues. I received my letter from the IRS with my EIN number and no matter what I tried, I kept on getting the error. After reviewing the letter further, on the second page it states that my EIN is associated with a name control which is used when filing returns electronically. Mine is 4 digits and when I entered that instead of my name, it went through without any errors. Now I'm just waiting to see if it gets validated. Fingers crossed!
