Amazon Account Verification Required Email from compliance-verification@amazon.com - legitimate? Urgent help needed.
Some days ago we have received the following email from compliance-verification@amazon.com that looked suspicious:

Reference Number: 5e4397e8-35f8-4387-90ff-32ec06be68eb
We don’t have any notification regarding that in our seller central, so we have immediately contacted SS whether this email is legitimate or fake, Case ID 13170099301
The answer was - fake, not from Amazon, delete this email and do not reply:

Today we have received a reminder:

Not sure what to do. Is there any way to check? Any help please?

YES! YES! YES! The email is real. You need to go to your Account Health page and follow the "clickable links" to get started.
Your really need to read the forums from time to time to keep up with what is going on. This has been going on for months.
It pertains to a new law enacted by the government called the Consumer Inform Act. Amazon is requiring more info than other platforms, however, if you don't comply you lose your account.

Hello @Seller_lsHUu1PTRLK2r,
Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums.
I came across your thread and wanted to provide some additional context on the INFORM Consumer Act. The INFORM Consumers Act is a new US federal law that took effect on June 27, 2023, and places new obligations on Amazon and high-volume third-party sellers who sell products in Amazon’s US store. Under the new law, high-volume sellers are required to do the following:
- Provide, and Amazon must collect, verify, and disclose, certain specific information about their business.
- Keep this information current and notify Amazon when their information changes, at which point Amazon must verify the new information.
- On an annual basis, certify that their information is current.
As a result, you may have been required to complete the verification process. You can view this in your Seller Central account under Seller Account Info. If you are having concerns regarding reverification, please feel free to update this thread.
I have also linked some help pages below that provide detail on keeping your account secure and identifying false emails:
