customer claims item defective yet amazon deems sellable

I sold my brand items and a customer claims item is defective and amazon deems it is sellable and put back in inventory. Customer purchased and item and returned it the next next day. This now goes towards my return rate. If the item is back in inventory how is it defective?

Which metric you are referring to when you say 'return rate'? Was the order that was defective an A-to-Z claim? If so, did you attempt to dispute the situation with any supporting details? Have you attempted to open any cases into this situation? I encourage you to share any case IDs or other type details so I may gain a better understanding of the concern.
