Yes
Can I just ignore it?
No, you have 60 days to complete.
This has been going on for sometime now and there are several thread posts on the subject should you need any assistance or questions answered.
You will be verifying what is in your Legal Entity ( in your Account Info area ).

You are not alone, it's happening to everyone. @Seller_EkbLZUYSpmJEysays, check for threads about this if you need advice.

Good Evening @Seller_xChY9wAo7PTVr - I wanted to check in with you to see if you still required assistance regarding the re-verification process as it is a time sensitive request like @Seller_EkbLZUYSpmJEy & @Seller_kNAboD6kRgVt7 mentioned.
Please let us know on this thread if you require any assistance as I have been working with sellers on reverification over the course of the last month.
If you have already successfully completed your re-verification, please let us know too. 😊 Thank you for checking in with us on the Seller Forums and for choosing to sell on Amazon. Have a good weekend. ~Cooper_Amazon

It is legitimate, it is because of the new INFORM Act.

I'm unsure of the legitimacy of this email but I will say it is ALWAYS IMPORTANT to check the sender email address to verify you're no receiving spam or scammy emails.
Wish you the best selling on Amazon!

Do not ignore. They will close you down.

do not ignore it.
I did and felt it did not mean me, since I have been on for ten year plus.
Next thing I knew, a long period of time went by with no sales, and I figured something was wrong, so I searched for any of my postings- they were gone!
researched and found a message that said it was going on. Spent about 20 minutes with drivers license and credit card statement and it was done.
so.... do not ignore it!!

It is legit. I can understand the need for it but they are getting so much information. There has to be a better way. If there is a breach it is going to hurt. I hope Amazon will accept responsibility for the millions of potential losses if there is a breech. I would like to know who is checking this. Is it Amazon or some 3rd party vendor they have hired. What are the security measures being taken to ensure this information is not used inappropriately. The management needs to ask themselves the question: "How would I feel giving all my personal information to another company with no assurances that it will be protected?"

Amazon is requiring this of all sellers. All legit sellers will have to reverify. They are trying to weed out the bad actors so it's a good thing for sellers trying to establish legit e-commerce businesses on Amazon.
