Product was claimed by non-manufacturing company, now I can't use the UPC to ship to FBA?
Basically what the topic states. I've sold hundreds of these products. I was recently told that it is now claimed by another larger corporation that does not manufacture the product. I have a written letter from the manufacturer that I am a certified seller of their product. I was banned from selling the product, then allowed to sell it, and now I am banned on shipping the product to FBA. Got a call from the help desk and took a half hour to be escalated to another team that is now asking for my Amazon Workflow ID. This is just nonsense. It's basically a daily loss of $30 of profit in sales for me.

Any help on this one? Amazon help desk doesn't understand that I have always used the manufacturer UPC on this and now they are requiring that I have an amazon UPC?

This is insane. Here is the help ticket response from Amazon help.

What is a Workflow ID?
This Id starts with "wf" and you can find it at the bottom left of STA page( For example: wfddf55e60-a98e-403b-949b-18218199b26e)
What is a STA Workflow Step?
It is the step which you have received the error for the ASIN in send to Amazon page.

Further update to this process. Amazon is aware that another company that is not the manufacturer or the main brand of the company has claimed the UPC of that product, and now requires all other sellers to change the upc code. Because of this I now will have to pay a fee to relabel the UPC code for the product or create my own.
The basic lesson here is if there is a product, and it doesn't have a registered brand, you can claim that registered brand as your own, force all competition to use a different UPC and corner the market.
