Two companies one seller account question

Hello there,

We have 2 companies: one based in USA (no VAT) and one based in EU registered with VAT.

I want to set up the US company to operate and process any payments in USA (NORTHAM) ONLY and my second firm ( the European one) to process everything in EU (Germany, UK, etc.) only.

My question is after merging the accounts with Selling globally - How can I set up and where to put the information about my companies.

Once again I want to add 1 company for EUROPE and a the other company for USA.

Can I do that within one merged seller account or what should I do?

Thank you for the help and have a lovely day!

Hi @cargenta,

Steve from Amazon here, thank you for the question. You may only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing.

Please see below for examples of a legitimate business justification. It sounds like your situation may fall under the second bullet point since there are two separate companies. If you try to merge these accounts it may cause complications.

  • You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
  • You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
  • You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts

Please reference the resources below for more information on this as well.

Comply with Amazon’s Multiple Account policy

Address a Multiple Account Policy violation

Selling policies and seller code of conduct

I also recommend that you create a case to Seller Support with this question and they can review the situation as well. Please let me know if there are any other questions.

Thanks,

Steve
