New Product Line, Do We Need A Seperate LLC/Bank/Address for a Seperate Account?
Hi all, did lots of searching but all that seems to come up is people with suspended accounts for having more than one. Also watched the seller university video on this but it does not mention anything in regards to requirements.
Long story short our business recently brought in a new product line completely different from what we already sell. As much as I don't want to do it we're going to have to open a new website, new Amazon account and etc for this business as it just doesn't make sense to operate it under our current name.
I would prefer to just keep it under the same LLC though, just have it as a blanket LLC for all ecommerce operations but I'm not sure if Amazon allows this. So as the title says, do we need a separate entity for a new Amazon account or can we simply operate it with the same info as our current one?
If not I have to go open a new LLC, new bank account, box address and all the good stuff that goes with it. Would really like to avoid that!
Thank you sincerely for any help!

You can have all of your product lines under one account. However, it would be the same seller for all items.
If you wish to separate both product lines, you can try to maneuver through the minefield that is Seller Support. The Amazon policy states that you can ask for permission to open two accounts. However, even with this permission, I am too scared at what Seller Support might do due to their horrendous track record. You can try this route by opening a case and state that you are looking for permission to open a second account due to the acquisition of a product line.
Lastly, opening a new LLC/Bank Account/Box Address would seem like the safest route. Its the route I would take if its not possible to sell all product lines in one account.

Hi
I currently have 2 Amazon seller accounts.
I Created on a couple years ago, and last May i created a new brand which was completely different than the other one.
I've has both accounts now for a good bit, and have had no problems. Just as long as both accounts are in good standing, you should be fine.
Good luck!

Hello @Seller_NrQ5SQL5FHGGn,
Thank you for reaching out. I wanted to step in here and provide some additional information and resources. Looks like the community has already provided some great guidance. Learn the legitimate reasons for having multiple selling accounts according to Amazon’s Selling Policy and Seller Code of Conduct.
However, you can list multiple products/brands under the same account. Amazon Brand Registry is a global service that helps you protect your brand’s intellectual property (IP). When you enroll in Brand Registry, you unlock eligibility for a suite of tools that allows you to more easily manage your brand’s product listings, find and report IP violations, and prevent non-authentication.
Please let me know how this goes. You can also open a case with seller support for additional guidance.
Cheers,
Micah

You can easily have multiple brands under the same account. My seller name does not match the several brands my company owns. Just create a brand registry for each brand you own.
After your brand registry is approved you can set up a separate Amazon store specific to the brand, so that you can have everything categorized the way it makes sense for that brand.
