Account Appeal Taking 2+ Weeks for Response

I submitted my account appeal for a inauthentic Section 3 deactivation on February 12th. Since then, I have heard nothing back other than emails saying "We are still reviewing your account. We will send you an email when we finish the review. Abuse Escalations, Customer Trust and Partner Support." Prior to submitting this appeal, I called Seller Support to see which documents were needed, so I am sure I submitted the correct documents. Also, this appeal is for one ASIN, so I don't see why it should take this long to verify my documents. Any explanation?

Deactivation appeals take ~45 days.

Deactivation appeals for section 3 + dropshipping or counterfiet policy violations are not being reviewed for reactivation.

Feel free to search the forums, there is an abundance of matierial on this.

Opening multiple cases about the same issue can be viewed as abusing the system and result in the case not being reviewed at all, just sayin

As frustrating as it is to say, and we know how much worse it is to hear....

There is nothing to do about this.

Amazon can, and often does, take 90 days to conclude any "investigation" and repeated responses, calls, opening of new cases etc, only seem to actually delay the conclusion.

Now, (not knowing what the supposed infraction may be), if this is a minor infraction over one ASIN (well, not so minor if they suspended your entire account), then Amazon may well communicate sooner with a request for more information.

Unfortunately, their request normally takes the form of a rejection.

Ya, Amazon is not very well versed in business communications with Sellers....

As we know that you will not wait 90 days (suspended sellers never do), we would strongly urge that you aim for a more attainable goal, say 30 days maybe even 31 days, before blanketing Amazon with time-wasting missives in whatever form you choose.

If this was a correctible mis-understanding/mistake you will likely emerge whole in some matter of weeks--

However, if you blatantly tried to circumvent or purposefully broke rules to beat the system, you might just be screwed.....

Sourcing from a brands website can violate the counterfeit policy as the item may be "materially different" and therefore counterfeit.

Additionally if the item was sold as "new" on Amazon but purchased from a brands website this is a violation of the product condition guidlines as it misrepresents an item as "brand new" when it has been sold retail previously.

Also using a brands intellectual property without there authorization can be illegal as such brand trademark, designmark, copyright or patent is protected by USPTO law. Amazon also views this as a trademark infringement policy violation.

From the notification you provided, I see that your account is deactivated due to concerns of authenticity for one ASIN that you sell. When it comes to authenticity, you will want to submit the documents requested by the review team to verify the supply-chain and authenticity of your products. example: invoices, receipts, letters of authorization, and sales contracts from your supplier for the ASIN in question. The invoices should reflect the sales quantity for that ASIN in the last 365 days. All documents you submit should meet our document requirements. I suggest to check the documents you submitted against the requirements in the help page above to see if they match up.

I am including some videos and help pages about authenticity for you to reference:

For the review process, it is best to allow the review team time to conduct the verification of the documents that you have submitted. Due to the volume of these submissions, resolution time may be delayed. You should receive a follow up notification with a decision, once the review has been completed.

I hope you find this information helpful, and remember the Seller Forums community and I are here to support you. If you have any further questions or updates, please feel free to respond in this thread.

Wishing you the best,

LeviDylan
