Amazon please stop this OTP BS!

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Amazon logs me out literally every 10 min. I have no VPN on. I don't mind waiting for the OTP and logging in, but Amazon logs me out so much that when I go to request a code it tells me I requested too many for the day and to try again later. Really???? This is a paid membership. I should not be getting kicked out and not being able to log back in for a paid service!!

Yes started happening to us, we went into log in settings and downloaded microsoft authenticator, scanned amazons QR code, now log in with rotating codes with authenticator, no more phone texts or calls that limit per day.

I was just about to start a new thread when this popped up as a solution.

@amazon please look into this, it’s frustrating. Here is my two cents:

I get prompted to log back in and verify with a OTP an average of 10 to 15 times a day. On busy days when processing a high number of orders, I can get prompted to login as often as every 15 minutes. This is frustrating as heck. I have the Amazon mobile app that I use many times a day and never get prompted to login, maybe once a month. It’s frustrating, especially when you go to print a batch of orders and it gets interrupted and reset.

My set up is 2 computers that I have been using for several years to access the account. Network has been in place for 3+years and is secure. I also use an iPad(same iPad for years) that is logged into the account daily. I have been using a secure password manger for 10 years that uses 2FA, fingerprint/Face ID to log in. It’s not an issue with entering the password incorrectly, it just seems to time out and want to send a OTP every 15 to 30 minutes during the day.

I also clear the cache on the browsers regularly, including doing all of them recently to see if that would cure this issue, but no luck.

These computers are used solely by me. No one else, no secondary accounts. Just one use and one amazon account.

Please @Seller_nUXRIxpv1gT6Flook into this and see what can be done!

Get the Authenticator app to alleviate the Too Many Times issue. It is not that bad here but it is very loosely applied. My Work machine asks me for OTP maybe monthly but the other computers on the same network 2 -3 times a day it asks for OTP.

we have a dummy iphone with the Authenticator app that literally hangs from the ceiling for any employee that needs a code.
