Change Home Marketplace from ES to DE – is it possible?

When I opened my Amazon seller account, the Home Marketplace was automatically set to Spain (ES). Now I want to change it to Germany (DE), but I can’t find any way to do this in Seller Central.

Because of this setting, Spain is locked as a storage country, and I’m being forced to register for VAT there and submit regular tax reports - even though my business is German and I primarily want to sell and store goods in Germany.

Has anyone here successfully changed it or found a workaround?

That sounds problematic, right up front: I can't tell you whether it can be solved.

The topic came up in another thread here in the forum the other day. There was an inactive DE account and the seller wanted to switch to France. However, he must first reactivate the DE account (incluisve tax number) in order to take further steps. Simply opening a 2nd account is not possible either, Amazon will block it immediately.

Therefore, I assume that the Spanish account must first be fully active (which unfortunately also includes tax registration and all other Amazon requirements), then you can continue.

That sounds kinda strange because you say "your business is German" but you write it here in English. Are you're neither from Germany nor from Spain but do have a German VAT ID? If so, why did you get Amazon España as a Home Marketplace?
