This appears correct to me but you can be extra careful by clicking on the settings icon on the top right (the gear icon) and then clicking on account info to see if there are any limitations on your seller account.

I received the same email today. I already took the photos and the selfie. I gues is legit. The only issue is that I asked some friends none of then have received the email yet… It would be awesome if amazon could clarify this.
