Anyone experiencing FBA "Ship to" warehouse switches from SBD1 to East Coast?
Hi,
I’ve been shipping from China straight to Amazon warehouse for years; hundreds of shipments. Amazon always assigns a “Ship to” warehouse located in California which makes sense when the containers cross the Pacific ocean. Today was the first time that they assigned “Ship to” warehouse location in New Jersey. See below:
Ship to: ABE8 - 401 Independence Road 08518-2200 - Florence , NJ - United States
Very odd. I wonder if this is temporary because of the holiday season (their California warehouse is at full capacity) or something else. Are you guys experiencing this? Please share your experience. Thanks.
Please don’t reply with something like “Amazon can assign any ‘Ship to’ warehouse and you have to follow … blah blah blah”. Yes, everybody knows that.

OK. Not going to say this…
I do not ship straight from China, so this is based on my experience with smaller domestic shipments. I honestly think you are correct about diverting to manage holiday intake traffic. When my standard FC was overwhelmed this summer, for the first (and only) time I saw shipments go to Portland and Denver instead of Stockton CA.
