Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals changed from 1 week each to 1 day
My Black Friday Week Lightning Deals changed from a duration of 1 week to 1 day. The same thing happened for my Cyber Monday Week lightning deals. I have screenshots before/after proving that Amazon changed the duration of both of these.
I would like to know why. We have ads set up and staged on every social media platform promoting the discounts for the full two weeks. How can we as sellers plan anything when Amazon arbitrarily changes dates on us?
- When I set up the Lightning deals for Black Friday Week, it stated that the deal was from Nov 20, 2023, 12:00 AM PST - Nov 26, 2023, 11:59 PM PST. (1 week)
- Now when I view the Lightning deal, it shows that the deal is only Nov 24, 2023, 9:55 am PST to Nov 24, 2023, 9:55 PM PST. (1 day)
- Cyber Monday Week Lightning Deals was Nov 27, 2023, 12:00 AM PST to Dec 3, 2023, 11:59 PM PST (1 week).
- Now when I view the Lightning deal, it shows that the deal is only Nov 28, 2023, 2:05 AM PST - Nov 28, 2023, 2:05 PM PST. (1 day)
What is going on? Why would Amazon suddenly change these? I literally checked the dates 2 days ago and they both stated the deals would run for 1 week each.

Thank you for visiting the seller forums. I reached out to the business team who directed me to this help page.
The system is working as intended. When you set up the deals, you were given a list of available weeks for your product in the selected store. However, ultimately, Lightning Deals will be scheduled to run on a day during the week selected and can run for up to 12 hours.

Lightening Deals are designed to work only 12 hrs any day randomly selected by system form the whole week, you need to revisit deal page close to the week to know exact day when they are going to run, it has always been like this. Only best deals you get whole week

how much for the one week ? if it is 1000$ it will be one week, if the price is 300-500$ it only one day, so please make sure.
