Change from "GENERIC" to Brand Name

Dear all,

does anyone have a way which works changing from GENERIC to the Brand which got approved?

I had to list the product under generic since the brand approval process takes lots of time. Now, that I am approved I would like to change it and Amazon does not allow.

i tried the flat file uploading etc not working.

I contacted Support but it has been fruitless conversation so far ID 12859379741

P.S I know it is possible I did it before, and it is not against Amazon polices since it is MY product and it was a ERROR not putting the brand from the beginning but I could not do it before since Amazon did not approve me from the first submitting

It actually is against Amazon's brand name policy to change the brand name on a listing after it is created.

It says: "Brand name change requests beyond these minor corrections are considered re-branding and will not be supported."

You would need to create a new listing; Amazon doesn't allow Generic to be changed to a Brand.

Hello everyone!

For anyone in the future, who will stumble upon this issue, here is my experience:

I have created listing under generic, but then i had my Brand approved so I wanted to change that for obvious reasons.

You cannot do it yourself and file upload did not work for me.

Side note, I am the original and only owner of that product....

So I created a case with Amazon support, and kept the conversation open for like 4-5 business days..may be longer. First 3-5 replies were nearly the same, I guess AI generated but after 5-6 time I kept reopening the issue - someone replied asking to prove that the product is indeed branded with lots of photos whom different angles - which I do and I had - so i immediately send them like 10 images. I was DECLIED as on the product it was a sticker(not permanently affixed).....However, I again reopened the case as my packaging has the logo as part of the design and that was permanently affixed 100% and finally someone checked and replied positivaly approving the change.

I believe it is not against amazon policies, since it is a MISTAKE(sort of) that i had created the product under generic, not Brand...but again It took tremendous effort and time to get approved with Amazon for the Brand...should I have lost all of those sells meanwhile?....
