Do I need GTIN
I'm trying to list a product on Amazon with little success. I'm confused about weather or not I need GTIN. I ship my products from a manufacture in China to the UK.
Does anyone have a similar set up? I was going to apply for an exemption, but I'm unsure if I actually qualify.
Any help will be appreciated.

you don’t need a GTIN but be aware that you MUST use GS1 to source GTINs.
you qualify for GTIN Exemption if your goods don’t have a barcode quite simply. Exemption is by brand, by amazon category, so you simply go through the listing process and state you don’t have a GTIN. From memory you simply need to provide photos of the product. Note if it is branded, Amazon will expect to see the brand on the product in the photos. Once you’ve got exemption in a category, you can then list any product of that brand in that category.
Same applies if the item is Generic, though Amazon obviously aren’t looking for a brand name in that instance.
