Account singup fee

Hey, I hope you are doing great . Actually I signup an amazon seller central account as an Individual account but I still charged $ 40 as a signup fee. Once I filed a case and amazon responded to me back that you are having professional account .how it could be possible that? neither do I have LLC nor have I chosen a Professional account , now I want to degrade but they are asking me to submit tax information which I also don't have I even didn't sell any product?

so what should I need to do?

Go into your Account Settings (the little gear symbol). Click on Account Settings and off to the right should be a box that includes "Downgrade Account." Do this immediately to avoid any further charges. If you have not used any services on the platform you can open a case requesting a refund of that money. It may or may not happen, and you may not get a reply for several days. Patience is key, do not keep opening your case, it puts you to the bottom of the list each time.

Please spend hours (and hours) going through Amazon's Seller University and reading threads here in the forum. Amazon is NOT easy.

You always get charged the first month, even if you sign up for the individual plan. But as booknut said, if you have not used the platform, (added a listing into your inventory even with 0 quantity...) you can request a refund. If you have used it, you have to downgrade and wont get any refund
