Charge method issue
Hi Amazon Support,
I would like to highlight an issue I encountered while setting up my seller account. I selected only the USA market (Amazon.com), and I was charged $39.99, indicating that my credit card was working correctly. However, I received an email stating that my seller account is not yet validated and that additional fees may be applied.
Upon double-checking my charge method, I discovered that two other markets were considered. I corrected this and selected only the USA market. Unfortunately, after more than 48 hours, no changes have been made and my seller account is still blocked.
Could you please assist with this issue?
Regards,

Are you using a valid credit card and not a debit card?

In reverse order of your questions:
When you sign up for the .com site, you are actually signing up for the Unified Americas Account (formerly Unified North American). This includes Canada and Mexico, and for many, Brazil. You cannot remove or delete these marketplaces; just trying to do so can cause serious problems for your account. Just put those marketplaces on Vacation mode, make sure there are no listings on them, and don't worry about it.
In regards to your credit card, Amazon will gladly charge any card they can, even if they will not accept the same card for validating the account. While many places state that Debit cards are acceptable, many people find that they are not accepted, and the general advice is to use an actual CREDIT card.
To change your card, it's generally considered best to change it on the Buyer side of your account first; then after waiting 2-24 hours, you can go into the Seller side of the account and you should see the new card as an option to select.
