Reactivate my account
Hello everyone!
I'm unable to solve an issue to reactivate my account.
A year ago, my Germany account was suspended for not providing my German tax identification number. There were actually no sales in this market, just a few listings. However, this affected other markets and currently, all my stores are deactivated.
I've terminated my self-employment activity and have no intention of selling in Germany or other markets, but I need to activate the accounts to close my Amazon Seller activity properly.
I described the whole situation for de-vat-number-appeals@amazon.com:
"Please, I'm trying to close my Amazon Seller account, as I'm no longer self-employed (autonomo) in Spain.
I was trying to upload my old certificate but the address is different as I no longer live in the same address and the Seller Central has already updated information.
So the platform does not accept such documents because of the different addresses."
And their response was:
"Dear Selling Partner,
Unfortunately, your issue is beyond our team’s remit. Please reach out to our dedicated Seller Support to inquire further: https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/contact-us/contact-amazon-form.html. They will be more equipped to assist you."
Since the accounts are deactivated and I can't access the Get Support section, I'm not allowed to contact this team or any other.
It's impossible to resolve an issue by receiving only automated responses.
There is no way to ask for a support for deactivated accounts. Its an infinite loop.
Has anyone faced the same problem and solved it?

Thanks for your post. My name's Olvier and I hope I can help you reactivate after you're account was suspended for not providing your German tax identification number (value added tax =VAT). You explain you didn't have sales in this market, just a few listings.
However, it is not about sales only, but mainly about storage. Did you store your products in Germany? Either through FBA or your own storage, even for other businesses outside Amazon? Is the "ship from" address in shipping settings correctly chosen?
If no address is filled in, the system might assume you store in the Marketplace (MP) and therefore request a VAT number.
Also check your FBA settings by going to top right settings > Fulfillment by Amazon.
If the storage settings were correct, sales could have been the trigger: Did you sell more than 10000 Euros in a year as a sum in marketplaces except your main MP? This sales volume is also not only amazon sales but as a sum with sales from other online or physical stores. If it's more than 10k, you'd then need either a VAT number for each country where you exceed it or can opt into One Stop Shop (OSS) with your main MP.
Please contact the German tax office (Bundeszentralamt für Steuern) to check if there are open payments to make to settle tax needs. Once they confirm all is good, send it please to de-vat-number-appeals-eu@amazon.com
Another way to contact the VAT team is by going to
help > Select a service "selling on amazon" > Account Health > Reactivate your account > Get help with my appeal from Account Health Support (2nd button)
