When will Amazon start listening to its sellers about the return period?
This return period is ridiculous! All we want as sellers, and I speak on behalf of all of us, is free extended-extended holiday returns that start in July and go through January. Well, probably February, because that would not be fair to those who wait 6 months to return and then remember on Feb 1st of the following year.
So please, stop messing with our buyers and give them what they want.

"When will Amazon start listening to its sellers"
Not going to happen.
They pretend like anything, not quite sure why.

When returns stop making Amazon money! $$$$$ Sellers should have option all sales final like eBay. At most it should be 30 days from day of purchase just like majority of "everywhere". Amazon can not survive without 3p sellers and one step sellers can make is to lower returns is to eliminate FREE SHIPPIN then customers will be responsible for more of their actions if they decide to return like it should be, the other is to stop FBA then only then when money dries up maybe Amazon will listen. Even now what are the odds Amazon throttles my sales back and removes buy box for spewing the truth.

This doesn't work with Refund on First Scan, as the full amount - including shipping - is refunded.

just a reminder, we are all using Amazon platform to list and sell to Amazons customers. When we signed up we agreed to follow their rules. If you don’t like the rules close your seller account.

I urge ALL Sellers to look-up the New and "Improved" Guidelines for charging restocking fees chart from Amazon. Go to "Learn More" at the top of Seller Central page and enter "Guidelines for charging restocking fees" into the search bar.
There are MANY changes to long-standing Seller Protections that you need to be aware of, such as NOT being able to charge Restocking Fees IF the item is "Returned in Original Condition".
Interestingly, the Seller CAN charge a 20% Restocking Fee even IF the item is "Returned in Original Condition" IF:
"The buyer changes their mind about a purchase and returns an item in the original condition outside of the return window."
This is Amazon giving CLEAR PERMISSION to Buyers to send-back their Returns WHENEVER THEY WANT TO, and ONLY suffer a 20% Loss for their trouble. There is NO given End-Date to this Return Window, so it could be argues that it is FOREVER.
And to add insult to injury, the 20% Restocking Fee refers to 20% of the ITEM COST. The Buyer is STILL supposed to get the postage paid Refunded back to them!
So, IF a Buyer sends back something they purchased 5 years ago, the Seller HAS to take it back and ONLY receive a 20% of the item cost as long as it is in "Original Condition"?
And if we do NOT, I suppose we will Lose an A-Z Claim over this?
I KNOW that Amazon 3rd Party Sellers Return Policy had to be AT LEAST as generous as the Amazon Return Policy.
So WHY are 3rd Party Sellers REQUIRED to take-Back Out-Of-Date Returns when Amazon itself does NOT allow for this?
Why isn't Amazon allowing 3rd Party Sellers to mirror the Amazon Return Policy?
I bet few of you were even aware of this change...
Now you know!

You got the wrong idea that somehow Amazon will ever listen to their sellers. Amazon will always cater to buyers because they sell to buyers, not to sellers. Sellers' voices do not matter unless they will leave en masse if the marketplace becomes not profitable.
