FBA Return to Address Items Sent to Wrong Address by Amazon. Anyone Else Had This Issue?
First, I was hit with close to $200 of service return fees yesterday for the multiple packages that Amazon "returned" to me so I've investigated the root cause and I found out that 67 items were "sent" back to me. I did not request this return! Second, when I investigated further, the packages were returned to my old warehouse address which I left and ceased/ removed from my addresses when I moved out 6 months ago! Of course there's no way to get these items back as this was more than 2 weeks ago and I'm not there anymore!
I'll just swallow $300 worth of goods and $200 service fees as added Amazon loss for these 67 items. I know this is just a small amount to all of you but they build up quickly in a year with all sources of losses not just this one. I just can't imagine the losses that I have to report this year. More reasons not to do FBA.
What I don't understand is why would Amazon send the items to an old/ discarded address that is not my default return address to send these 67 items back. I have changed everything when I moved out 6 months ago and I have been getting FBA returns to my current address since then. Is this another way for Amazon to just get hold of my saleable inventory by not returning them properly? Further, I have never requested the return and I know that it's been close to a year that these items are in the FBA but my settings don't allow automatic returns to me, I have to initiate it. Losses, losses, losses. Very poor sales too, down 94% from last year. Way to go Amazon!

Have you double-checked your FBA fulfillable inventory settings to see if you have either of the automated removals enabled and if the address is correct there?

Hi @Seller_6Y9FIKsJxDTiQ,
Thank you for reaching out on the seller forums.
I wanted to check in to see if you checked your FBA fulfillable inventory settings as @Seller_f4a7xAPCCSMqD suggested? Was the address listed there the correct address (not the old warehouse)? Also, were automated removals enabled?
If you have any case IDs regarding this removal, I'd be happy to take a further look into those correspondences to see how I can assist further.
Thanks again,
Jameson
