Temporary Driver's License For Reverification

I sure could use some help. I'm having a problem with verifying my identity. I believe it's because of my driver's license being a temporary one until they mail me the plastic card. Just got this renewed on Thursday, submitted the scans and Amazon comes back with their notification that they can't verify this because it is in black & white, not color. Is this for real? I have 30 days to send the proper color I.D. they request, but the DMV says it will take up 'til 90 days to arrive by mail. Did anyone else have this issue and is there any way to get an extension on the 30 days so I can keep my seller account? I am so tired of the unnecessary stress inflicted upon us honest sellers.

Did they just ask you for the ID a day or two ago, OR could you have sent in the info with your active license a week or two ago? Or, were you driving on an expired license.

From your point of view it is "unnecessary stress " while from the Amazon point of view it is purely fraud prevention.

Guess which side is going to win that discussion............

I went through this. Didn’t drive for a couple of years, so no valid (current) license. The wait in Texas to get a new license is crazy long. Got a Texas State ID instead (which was a process in itself). Amazon would not accept the temporary ID I was issued, though it had a photo, and was valid for everything else imaginable. Certification was approved once I received my plastic ID card.

1- Try using your old expired plastic ID card for the verification.

2- Open a support ticket, explain the issue, and then upload the scans of the temporary ID and your expired ID so that both versions are in the support ticket message system to be later seen.

3- and then reopen and resubmit the ticket until someone actually looks at it. Do not be surprised if it takes 30 reopen ticket before it is fixed, but things are usually EVENTUALLY fixed if you are polite, calm, and patient. you have to remember that most of the time, Amazon is using bots that are badly programmed and overseas seller support who do not understand English, and it takes a long time before the system sees that a ticket has been reopened a lot of times that it is sent to an actual English speaking person. Each and Every single time they reject the pictures, reopen the ticket again and send NEW pics of your old and temporary IDs. Do not send the same pics unless you alter the pics. You may need to use software to circle the ID number if you have the same ID number, to show it is the same ID number and be extremely obvious about it. Yes, it is against the rules to circle things in pictures, but I have found it is necessary because the non-English speaking seller support need things to be pointed out to them.

4- just relax and partake in whatever helps you chill while you wait, days, weeks, maybe even months. and work on other things. Just because Amazon does not want your business now does not mean you cannot work on other marketplaces like ebay or etsy or shopify or etc etc etc or your own websites while you wait.
