Phishing
I have received an email from account-update@amazon.co.uk, saying that to protect my security, Amazon has changed my password and that I should go to the Amazon site and click on the link "Forgot Password " and change it again. How do I find out if this is a genuine email ??---I can't believe that Amazon would change the password of my account and simply send an email to tell me.

Most probably it is a phishing mail. Would advice you not to open the link sent by the email.
For confirmation, open the official link you have and log in to check if your password is working or not.

Hello @Seller_xtyQ1ugx27ysy,
Thank you for your post and thank you for sharing such an important subject. I would suggest the same as @Seller_lFg7VUzl8pJZA. Don't click on the link and check if your password is still working or not.
