FBA Over-receiving shipments

Anyone had issues with Amazon consistently OVER receiving shipments?

Every shipment on one of our SKUs is being received at a quantity more than we shipped. Single SKU pallet shipment of 75 cases per pallet and the case is the sellable unit, so no repacking or unpacking to deal with. Should be a simple receiving process.

The overages are routinely 30+ additional cases per shipment which would require us to be sending in 0.5 to over 1 pallet of extra product. No small discrepancy. Researching extra units has been a dead end process. It's making inventory tracking on amazon a nightmare as we don't know what's real. This also begs the question, what is amazon shipping to our customers?

It happens to me a lot. And my product get s shipped in specially designed master cartons that fit exactly 36 units. So when they say they received 37 or 40, it's a physical impossibility.

It's also impossible to get them to acknowledge their scanning error. i assume the inventory count eventually works out, but I don't appreciate them then saying it's a "shipping problem I need to resolve" on my record.

Amazon FBA intake has gone loco the last few months.

Most of the problems we have -and seen here on the forums- are Amazon undercounting units or losing whole shipments.

But we have several occasions that FBA received more than what we shipped.

We also ship in master cartons. We shipped in 3 cases of 40 units each. The units are packed in nice rows inside the case. Each units is in its own rectangle packaging. They fit snugly in the case. There is no room for extra units.

So how on earth did they count 122 units?

I have the same trepidation as you. What is Amazon shipping to those customers who are getting the "extra" units?

@Seller_mIpiVhwQ32dWWI have been back and forth with FBA over this same issue.

This was their response and it makes zero sense to me, coming from 20 years of Inventory Management and Logistics experience. Please let me know if I am missing something because we are triple the inventory on some ASINs (and I know we don't have it, so exactly as you said, what are they shipping??)

We have completed the review, and would like to let you know that during the receiving of the units, some units may be transshipped to other fulfillment centers. Please check the findings below:

For FBA17T2T0GYL: 7 Units received from the shipment FBA17T2T0GYL -1 Units have been reallocated from shipment FBA17TW0RDLL 6 Actual units received

For FBA17TW0RDLL: 5 Units received from the shipment FBA17TW0RDLL 1 Units have been reallocated from shipment FBA17T2T0GYL 6 Actual units received

After investigation, we've determined that your transshipment history for inventory transfers between fulfillment centers is whole, for the time period from the requested, through current. As there was no discrepancy found in the number of units received versus expected, we are now resolving this case.

If each unit is .5lbs with 30 units, the box weight should be 15lbs. I match what I input and what Amazon says the box weighs. How can I have overage and under count when both I and Amazon say the box is the same weight?

Constantly. We ship our cleaning products in sealed packages of 12. No additional will fit in, and we don't send loose units outside those cases. We also triple-verify the count with multiple managers signing off on it. Still, in almost every shipment they say they have 1-2 extra units and coach us on it.

I'm having delivery counting issues where the they said they were missing 30 unit(2 boxes). 15 units per box, yet all the UPS tracking shows both boxes were delivered. They are stating the Boxes arrived empty which i find hard to believe.

I've appealed twice and I was rejected.

I have given Amazon the UPS confirmation of delivery, details of the internal FC transfers after the units and Boxes were delivered to the initial FC.

Any suggestions?
