Each ASIN is typically reviewed by the Dangerous Goods team within 2 business days. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Note that the product information must be complete and correct, including attributes that could classify the product as dangerous goods. To learn more, go to FBA dangerous goods review process.
Amazon is continuously conducting reviews of products in our catalog to identify products regulated as dangerous goods. The goal is to ensure safety and compliance. During these reviews, changes in classification can happen. If you disagree with your product's classification, please upload a new SDS or exemption sheet through the document upload tool in this page.
Being approved to sell in a specific category or subcategory may allow you to sell a broad number of ASINs in that category or subcategory. However, some of those ASINs could be dangerous goods, and we need to ensure compliance for those ASINs. Remember that products are classified as dangerous goods at the finished product level, and not at the category or subcategory level.
