Amazon Partnered Carrier

This page provides information on the Partnered Carrier option available to FBA sellers for domestic and cross-border small parcel shipments. If you don’t know yet about the benefits of this programme, visit this page to learn more.

How to opt in for the Partnered Carrier Programme

  • When you are preparing your shipment to the fulfilment centre via the shipment creation workflow (step Prepare shipment in the workflow), in the Delivery Service section you will see the option to use our Partnered Carrier (UPS or DHL – please note that DHL is currently only available for shipments within Germany).
  • For cross-border shipments, this option will only be enabled for eligible shipments. Only small parcel shipments originating in an Amazon European Marketplace and being delivered to any of our European fulfilment centres are permitted.
  • Once you input the details of your shipment, you will receive an estimate for the shipping charges, then you can decide if you wish to use our partnered carrier for that particular shipment.
  • Before accepting the shipping charges, carefully review the Amazon contractual terms and conditions for participation in the programme, as well as the carrier terms and conditions.
  • Click on Accept charges.
  • After you have completed your shipment, contact the Carrier to schedule the pickup. Alternatively, you can take the package yourself to a local carrier’s pickup centre.

Shipping charges are dependent on the carrier, dimensions, and weight of the parcel(s), the address from which the shipment originates, and the destination fulfilment centre. The estimated cost of these charges will be subject to adjustment if Amazon or the carrier determines that the actual weight and/or dimensions of the package are different from the weight and/or dimensions provided by you. Important: Please note that once you have accepted the partnered carrier shipping charges, you must contact the Carrier to schedule a pickup.

Please note that your shipment will not be collected until you have requested a pickup or have a regular pickup set up with DHL already. DHL registered customers can request a pickup on this page. If your are not registered then please register here first to benefit from the DHL PCP service. Please note that pick-up is not free unless you are a registered customer. If you do not want to register or pay the pick-up fee, you can also hand over the parcel(s) to your regular DHL delivery staff when they pick up mail from your location, or drop off your packages at the following drop off points: (packstations, paketboxes, paketshops, post outlets) near you. Important notice concerning the transportation of hazardous materials: Transporting dangerous goods and/or hazardous material (Hazmat) is prohibited from the Partnered Carrier Programme.

How to cancel shipping charges
You can cancel shipping charges up to 24 hours after approving them by following these steps :

  1. Go to the Shipping Queue in your seller account.
  2. Locate the shipment and click Work on shipment.
  3. Under the Delivery Service section, click Void Charges.

Important: Cancelling the shipment does not cancel the inbound transportation fees for the Amazon Partnered Carrier Programme. You must follow the steps above. If 24 hours have passed since you approved the charges, you will not be able to cancel the charges or receive a refund.
