Buy Shipping

There are several options to buy shipping for Prime orders:

  1. Through Manage Orders in Seller Central - To buy shipping labels via Seller Central, go to the Orders page. Identify your Prime order and click Buy Shipping. Enter the correct package details and select the delivery service.

You have to buy the correct shipping labels based on actual package dimensions. Non-conveyable or oversize parcels require additional handling and therefore surcharges apply. Note that via Seller Central Buy Shipping, you cannot officially buy oversize shipping labels as Seller Fulfilled Prime carriers don’t support oversize parcels. However, if you still ship such parcels, surcharges will apply as stated above. For more information, go to DPD service overview and Hermes service overview, or to DHL service overview.

To select DPD’s correct package size (XS–XL), calculate “shortest side + longest side”. Hermes package sizes are measured in liter. To calculate liters, use this formula: height x length x width / 1000 = liters. Always measure package size and not the size of the item to calculate parcel sizes. We only accept the package size in centimeters. For shipping with DHL, use the package sizes you negotiated with DHL.

You can add the package size of shipping labels bought in Seller Central through the following path Orders > Manage Orders > Unshipped > filter for shipping service Prime > Buy shipping > Packaging and Weight > Change parcel dimensions.

  2. Through your own custom solution - In order to connect your own solution to our Buy Delivery Services, you have to set up a process for identifying Prime orders and retrieving the respective shipping labels via our Merchant Fulfillment API.

    • Retrieve and flag Prime orders: The 'IsPrime' flag indicates whether or not the order is a Seller Fulfilled Prime order. This flag is available via:
      • Get Orders API -- ListOrders method
      • Order Report
    • Get list of carrier offers: The 'GetEligibleShippingServices' function returns a list of available sipping services for your Prime orders.
    • Select and buy a shipping label: The CreateShipment function allows to buy shipping labels and returns PNG or PDF documents. Then download the shipping label.
  3. Through your third-party solution provider (integrator) - Solution providers (integrators) are constantly working on implementing new features, such as Seller Fulfilled Prime. Below you can find a list of integrators that have implemented Seller Fulfilled Prime into their solutions. Contact your solution provider to get support with the onboarding process.
