Late Shipment Rate

The Late Shipment Rate (LSR) represents orders that have been confirmed after the expected ship date as a percentage of total orders over both a 10-day or a 30-day period. Late Shipment Rate only applies to self-fulfilled orders.

It is important to confirm the shipment of orders by the expected ship date so that customers can see the status of their shipped orders online. Orders that are confirmed late can negatively affect the customer experience and lead to increased claims, negative feedback and customer contacts.

Note: Expected ship dates are adjusted for national holidays. Expected ship dates on regional holidays are not adjusted and you might need to act to avoid a negative impact on your account health.

To avoid orders with an expected ship date on a regional bank holiday, consider shipping the orders before the regional bank holiday.

You should either adjust the handling time to cover at least one additional working day after the regional bank holiday or set your seller account on vacation mode before the regional bank holiday.

Our policy is that sellers should maintain a Late Shipment Rate under 4% to sell on Amazon. A Late Shipment Rate above 4% may result in account deactivation.

To view your LSR and download your LSR report, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Account Health page.
  2. In the Shipping Performance section, click View details.
  3. Select the Late Shipment Rate tab. Scroll down and click the Download Report button.
